My biggest fear about going on this detox is that I'm going to reach a point when I go crazy and eat everything and anything in sight out of withdrawal. I gonna have to program my phone to remind me every morning that I am on a sugar detox, or else [here's another fear]... I might forget. lol. I tend to be forgetful naturally, but that's because I'm usually so busy throughout the day that I eat as soon as I get the chance to squeeze a meal in-- but I'm going to try my best keep this detox in mind on a daily basis.
I'll probably have to bring lunch to work with me, so this means I'm gonna be waking up earlier to prepare my food--which means I'll be waking up @ 5:30am. I have to catch the bus by 7:40am -- I'll have to wake up earlier to make food and then get ready for work to leave my house by 7:30am to get to the stop by 7:40. ARGGh!!
I expect to reach all of my goals in the next few weeks--but I also expect this to be difficult. I'm not gonna act like it's not going to be emotionally painful to let go of sugar--after all, sugar & I go way back--
5 things that I assume I'll miss most:
1. Coffee with sugar!
2. My occasional dark chocolate Dove bar or milk chocolate Hershey bar
3. Juice (iced tea, green tea, concentrated cranberry/grape juices, and more)
4. Real Whole Wheat Bread
5. Syrup
The hardest part is getting used to these new food limitations, but I'll make it through, besides, Danisia is only a phone call away whenever I need someone to convince me not to go into the kitchen & eat all the wrong things.
I'm convinced I'm gonna make it through--in Jesus' name.
